The Cypress Lake Panthers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 35-29 victory over North Fort Myers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cypress Lake also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Cypress Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bri Madore led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five rebounds. Nessiah Wallace was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Bianca Iten and Gia Molloy certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Iten scored 13 points, while Molloy scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The game was Iten's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Even though they lost, North Fort Myers were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Lake only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Cypress Lake's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for North Fort Myers, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Cypress Lake will be home for the holidays to greet LaBelle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. LaBelle will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for North Fort Myers, they will head out on the road to face off against Lehigh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lehigh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
