Tyler HEAT can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 64-28 victory over CHAAMP HomeSchool. Given Tyler HEAT's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while CHAAMP HomeSchool is ranked 870th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tyler HEAT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Tomlin, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and six assists. Tomlin hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Elijah Grimes, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Marshall Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by King's Academy at home to the tune of 70-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Marshall Christian Academy has posted since December 4, 2023.
Tyler HEAT has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Marshall Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.
Everything went Tyler HEAT's way against Marshall Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2022 as Tyler HEAT made off with a 56-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tyler HEAT since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
