It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights can now relate to. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seton Hall Prep on Saturday. It was the first time this season that St. Joseph Regional let down their fans at home.
Loss or not, St. Joseph Regional got some senior leadership from Yasin Willis who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns and Terrance Sumter who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Sumter really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Michael Dunmore had a dynamite game for Seton Hall Prep, rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry.
St. Joseph Regional has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Seton Hall Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
St. Joseph Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seton Hall Prep will head out on the road to face off against Delbarton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Delbarton will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
