The Lansingburgh Knights have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They suffered a tough 75-50 defeat at the hands of Catholic Central on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lansingburgh in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost six in a row.
Catholic Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darien Moore out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Moore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Xavier Pahler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Lansingburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Catholic Central, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lansingburgh will stay at home for another game and welcome the Sabres at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Catholic Central will take on the Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ichabod Crane will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Crusaders are ranked seventh).
