The Solebury Spartans pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-62 to Cristo Rey Philadelphia. Solebury has not had much luck with Cristo Rey Philadelphia recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Simpson, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhai Anderson , who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Solebury's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solebury will square off against The City School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, they will head out on the road to face off against Friends' Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
