Basketball Recap: Dublin's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dublin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Jefferson County Warriors by a score of 52-40. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Warriors are ranked 483rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dublin had a senior duo take command as Aj Johnson posted 16 points and seven boards and Javion Harris went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Harris a new career-high in assists (two). Tristian Bell was another key player, putting up five points and five assists.

Dublin's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Jefferson County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Dublin will head out on the road to challenge Wheeler County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Dublin likes a good challenge. As for Jefferson County, they will welcome East Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
