The Brandeis Broncos will be playing at home against the Judson Rockets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brandeis was handed a three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against SA Roosevelt last Friday. Brandeis blew past SA Roosevelt 66-35 on the road. Given Brandeis' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while SA Roosevelt is ranked 917th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rian Forestier was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Brandeis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Burdette, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Judson waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They skirted past San Marcos 54-51.
Brandeis' victory bumped their record up to 24-11. As for Judson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.
Brandeis beat Judson 56-48 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Will Brandeis repeat their success, or does Judson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
