The Wilson Area Warriors will challenge Marian Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Kiera Hartzell-Ham was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Hartzell-Ham was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abymarie Colon was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Dalpe, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marian Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Weatherly on Thursday as Marian Catholic made off with a 13-3 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Marian Catholic needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Emily Upanavage spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, DeAnna Pugh and Gracie Sendatch did most of the damage at the plate: Pugh went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Sendatch scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave Pugh a new career-high. Danica Karlick was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Wilson Area's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Marian Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wilson Area hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Marian Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .374. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
