After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mahwah, Central Jersey College Prep were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They strolled past Belvidere with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Central Jersey College Prep considering their 14-point performance the game before.
Central Jersey College Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Staton out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Porter, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Central Jersey College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Belvidere, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Central Jersey College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (New Brunswick is ranked 333rd, while Central Jersey College Prep is ranked 350th).
