Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Has No Trouble Against California School for the Deaf-Riverside

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hamilton and California School for the Deaf-Riverside meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cubs. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won three in a row.

Hamilton never let California School for the Deaf-Riverside on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-21.

Evalina Hernandez paced Hamilton's offense, picking up nine kills. Hernandez got some help from Laura Palma Vega and her seven assists. Palma Vega was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Coming up, Hamilton is taking a road trip to square off against United Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they will host California Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
