The Rockbridge Academy Scots will challenge Mount Airy Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Airy Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockbridge Academy, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Rockbridge Academy made easy work of Greater Grace Christian Academy and carried off a 13-5 victory. The Scots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Tommy Wenger made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Rockbridge Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise. Wenger was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Drew Martin and Joe Ward did most of the damage at the plate: Martin got on base in both of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run, while Ward got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Ward has hit this season. Samuel Parlette was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Mount Airy Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since May 9, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Harford Christian, falling 19-6. The loss was Mount Airy Christian Academy's first of the season.
Mount Airy Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor McElroy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Airy Christian Academy fell to 7-1. As for Rockbridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything went Rockbridge Academy's way against Mount Airy Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Rockbridge Academy made off with a 10-0 victory.
