The Southwood Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Adams Central Flying Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Southwood came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 55-50 victory over Madison-Grant on Saturday.
Southwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Winer out in front who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Maddox Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Adams Central gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over Eastside. Winning may never get old, but Adams Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Southwood's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Adams Central, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Southwood ended up a good deal behind Adams Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 69-50. Can Southwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
