The South Carroll Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Winters Mill 47-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Carroll has scored all season.
It was another big night for Owen Case, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds for Winters Mill. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Wivell, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
South Carroll dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Winters Mill, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
South Carroll will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Francis Scott Key has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. Winters Mill's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles on February 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Centennial is ranked 108th, while the Falcons are ranked 117th).
