Leading Warren County to victory were Cosa Pender and Torossie Leslie. Pender scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals, while Leslie went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 0 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Leslie has scored at least 25% of Warren County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Jones, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Despite the defeat, Taliaferro County saw an underclassman step up: Tyriq Long scored 10 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Warren County and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Taliaferro County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
