The DSST: College View Wolves just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. DSST: College View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, DSST: College View earned a 56-43 win over Bruce Randolph. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DSST: College View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Sosa, who went 9 of 10 on his way to 19 points along with eight boards and five steals. The game was Sosa's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaias Tomita, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, ten assists, and ten steals.
Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top in a nail-biter against KIPP Denver Collegiate on Thursday, sneaking past 62-60.
DSST: College View better focus on containing Jackson Taylor and Prince-Michael Combs as the pair were huge in Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy's win. Taylor dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Combs posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave Combs a new career-high in assists (four).
DSST: College View's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: DSST: College View has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 41.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy, though, as they've only made 25.9% of their three-pointers this season. Given DSST: College View's sizable advantage in that area, Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy will need to find a way to close that gap. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
