The Huss Huskies won the last time they faced the Stuart W. Cramer Storm, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Huss walked away with a 59-50 victory over Stuart W. Cramer.
Huss' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Phillips pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Satchelle Pettis, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Stuart W. Cramer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Jordan, who scored 18 points. Darius Sykes was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Huss' victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Huss will be playing at home against Forestview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they will head out on the road to square off against Ashbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
