On Saturday, West Point-Beemer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  30-26 to Yutan.
 Despite the  loss, West Point-Beemer saw an underclassman step up:  Hunter Swanson  dropped  a double-double on 10 points and 10  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Colten Haber, who  scored 8 points.
 West Point-Beemer's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Yutan,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 West Point-Beemer will be playing in front of their home fans against Stanton at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Stanton focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Yutan, they will head out on the road to face off against Arlington on Tuesday. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
