Jamarion Pegues Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Oxford's Jamarion Pegues, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pegues rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (121.7) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Oxford moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Pegues will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on DeSoto Central on Friday.

Perry is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Oxford on Friday. Perry rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes the last time he and the Chargers duked it out back in October of 2023.
