Millikan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corlin Bryant, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Max Crawford was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Millikan has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Garfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan on the road again on Wednesday and play against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Jordan is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Garfield, they will head out on the road to take on South Gate at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
