Baseball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Has No Trouble Against Ambassador Christian School

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burlington Christian Academy, Forsyth Home Educators was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Ambassador Christian School Lions with a sharp 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Clarke Stem tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Forsyth Home Educators let Ashton Hooker and Colten Brown run wild. Hooker went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Brown went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Hooker has posted since back in March. Patrick Triolo was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Forsyth Home Educators kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ambassador Christian School only managed three hits.

Forsyth Home Educators' victory bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for Ambassador Christian School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will head out to take on Wake County HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 2.7, the Warriors 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Ambassador Christian School, they will venture away from home to challenge Hickory Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
