After having lost a blowout in their previous game against T.C. Roberson, the Enka Jets were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Asheville 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Enka has posted yet this season.
Sam Waddell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Enka's points. Logan Trantham was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Enka's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Asheville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Enka will look to defend their home court on Friday against Erwin at 8:00 p.m. Asheville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in North Buncombe's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
