Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barrow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Fruean, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Fruean is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Ethan Goodwin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and two steals.
Ben Eielson bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Barrow, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Ben Eielson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mt. Edgecumbe at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Mt. Edgecumbe is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Barrow, they will be playing at home against North Pole on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (North Pole is ranked 49th, while Barrow is ranked 37th).
