The Nueva School and Design Tech are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but likely not for long. The Nueva School Mavericks will head out on the road to challenge the Design Tech Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Nueva School will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, The Nueva School kept a clean sheet against DCP Alum Rock. They came out on top against the Lobos by a score of 2-0. Give The Nueva School's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2023, Design Tech was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Summit Preparatory finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.
The Nueva School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record this season. With that draw, Design Tech's record moves to 6-5-3.
The Nueva School beat Design Tech 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Nueva School since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
