The Douglas County West Falcon have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 28 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 67-38 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Douglas County West sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Douglas County West to victory were Ryker Wohlers and Drake Travis. Wohlers scored 19 points along with four steals, while Travis scored 25 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wohlers has scored at least 25% of Douglas County West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Wiese, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder had strong showings from Kolton Kriete, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Josh Egbers, who scored nine points.
Douglas County West's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Douglas County West will be playing at home against Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Douglas County West is ranked 20th). As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Fort Calhoun focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
