Tyrone Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 241 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 43 yards and one touchdown. What's more, he racked up 139.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Samuel Rhye was another key player, rushing for 122 yards and one score.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South County). They really took it to Woodson for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-13 win. With the Stallions ahead 41-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Lake Braddock better keep an eye on Dylan Miller. He was instrumental in South County's win, throwing for 322 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 34 yards. Miller has become a key player for the Stallions: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Richardson, who rushed for 107 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.
South County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jack Colegate, Zach Link, and Richardson picked up one apiece.
Lake Braddock's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for South County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Lake Braddock has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 160.1 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, South County has preferred to attack from the air: they average 333 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Lake Braddock beat South County 22-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stallions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
