The Brookstone Cougars lost against the Columbus Blue Devils back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Brookstone fell to Columbus 46-41. Brookstone has not had much luck with Columbus recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Brookstone's loss came despite strong showings from Thomas Henderson and Chapman Dykes. Henderson scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Dykes dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Dykes' third in a row with at least ten points.
It was another big night for Robert Hartford, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Columbus. Another player making a difference was Savon Kelly, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Brookstone's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Columbus, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookstone will face off against Hardaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hardaway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Columbus won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jordan at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Jordan is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
