Hoosier Crossroads recap Oct. 9, 2012
Brownsburg extended the longest winning streak in Hoosier Crossroads this week by beating Zionsville, 14-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Fishers's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ben Pritchett threw for 118 and one touchdown and Max Leamer had 62 yards receiving. On the ground Maurice Campbell chipped in 199 yards. Harvey Allen helped Fishers' passing attack out by catching three balls for 25 yards.
On the ground, Hamilton Southeastern's Ryan Ripp has rushed for 901 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cameron Polk. The Hamilton Southeastern star has 23 catches for 513 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Fishers and Brownsburg. Rick Wimmer's team enters the contest ranked 23rd in the state, while the Bulldogs ranks fifth.
The Royals' Ripp is a mere 99 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Fishers takes on Brownsburg. Fishers has allowed 115 points this season, while the Bulldogs have given up 80. Fishers allowed 7 points last week as it bested Jefferson.
Noblesville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,932 from 3,366. The improvement was the result of 14-6 victory over Westfield last week.
