The Chapman Fighting Irish won the last time they faced the Rossville Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Chapman came out on top against Rossville by a score of 62-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chapman.
Rossville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tayson Horak, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Jones, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Chapman now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rossville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapman will square off against Wamego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rossville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kansas City Christian School.
