Geneva will be playing in front of their home fans against Veritas Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva will be looking to keep their 20-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Geneva can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Incarnate Word Academy 56-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Geneva has posted since December 15, 2023.
Geneva relied on the efforts of Kyra Petty, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Maegan Riebel, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Petty has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Lindsay Lee was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Veritas Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Hill Country Christian School of Austin at home and fell 58-21. While losing is never fun, Veritas Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1185th, while Hill Country Christian School of Austin is ranked 395th).
Geneva has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Veritas Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
