The Pryor Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Booker T. Washington 97-43. While losing is never fun, Pryor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 11th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Booker T. Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Greg Nash, who scored 15 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nash has scored all season. Barron Harris jr. was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Pryor has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.
Pryor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-33 defeat vs. Claremore on the 10th. Booker T. Washington will be playing at home against Tahlequah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker T. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Tahlequah likes a good challenge.
