Harding Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Kingsbury Falcons to the tune of 48-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harding Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Barham, who rushed for 125 yards and one score on only six carries. Barham's longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another signal caller making a difference was Carter Camacho, who threw for 133 yards and three TDs on only six passes.
Harding Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was Dustyn Sanders and his one interception.
Coming up, Harding Academy is taking a road trip to square off against St. George's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingsbury, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
