It was a good run, but the Mansfield Timberview Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chisholm Trail.
Loss or not, Mansfield Timberview got some senior leadership from Jadyn Hollis who scored ten points along with four steals and Lewis Sotelo who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sotelo scored 15 or more points.
It was another big night for Javon Smith, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds for Chisholm Trail. That makes it six consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Chisholm Trail's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Richardson, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Mansfield Timberview's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Chisholm Trail, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Mansfield Timberview is on the road again on Friday and play against Seguin at 1:00 p.m. on January 5th. Seguin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Mansfield Timberview is ranked 74th). As for Chisholm Trail, they will be playing at home against Weatherford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weatherford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matches.
