Ellie Sylvia was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Brealeigh Garcia, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Juan Diego Catholic). They were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over Judge Memorial Catholic on Wednesday. The Soaring Eagle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 11 runs or more this season.
Oaklee Thomas was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Fiore, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

Juan Diego Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Summit Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .539. However, it's not like Juan Diego Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .553. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Summit Academy might still be hurting after the 18-0 defeat they got from Juan Diego Catholic in their previous matchup on April 8th. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
