The Polson Pirates's three-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Corvallis and snuck past 40-37. The victory was just what Polson needed coming off of a 54-20 loss in their prior match.
Polson found their leader in underclassman Rylee Taylor-jefferson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Rensvold, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Polson back to even at 1-1. As for Corvallis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Polson and Bigfork will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Corvallis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
