Stephenville FAITH suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after besting Balch Springs Christian Academy. Stephenville FAITH had been ranked 22nd, but fell to 29.
Cody Martin's team extended the longest winning streak in TCAL Division II - District 1 (6 Man) this week by beating the Crusaders, 58-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Brenden Brawley was the best wideout in the league this week as Cornerstone Christian Academy bested Christian Life Prep. Brawley tallied two receptions for 53 yards. Jonathan Delzeit helped Cornerstone Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for 36 yards.
Joey Braun put up the best numbers through the air as Stephenville FAITH topped Balch Springs Christian Academy. He finished with four completions for 80 yards and three touchdowns. Braun's favorite target this week was Braun, who caught one pass for 25 yards.
Brawley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Cornerstone Christian Academy beat Christian Life Prep. He completed three passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 108 yards.
Jose Rodriguez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 145 yards on 17 carries as Paradigm defeated Christian Life Prep. Cameron Fields also contributed to the rushing game with 15 yards on the ground.
Brawley has thrown for 953 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Forest Copenhaven has 17 catches for 376 yards. Brawley also leads the league in rushing with 634 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Paradigm takes on Cornerstone Christian Academy. Paradigm is currently in third, while Cornerstone Christian Academy is in second.
Stephenville FAITH took down the Crusaders 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Braun ran for 76 yards in the win.
