Canyon View won the last time they faced Buckeye and things went their way on Friday too. The Canyon View Jaguars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buckeye Hawks 63-36. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Buckeye's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amayah Leyva, who posted 12 points. Leyva is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kiria Avila Escarcega, who put up 11 points and five boards.

Canyon View has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Buckeye, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-9.

Canyon View will take on Desert Edge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon View is facing Desert Edge at the right time seeing as Desert Edge is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Buckeye, they will challenge North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
