Lake Region never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots with a sharp 15-0 win. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Titus Benton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brock Gibbens, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Lake Region always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gray-New Gloucester only posted an OBP of .222.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Region and bumps their season record up to 11-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Gray-New Gloucester, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
