East Lee County pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Riverdale 63-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (56), East Lee County still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, North Fort Myers suffered a tough 73-49 loss at the hands of Cape Coral on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Fort Myers in their matchups with Cape Coral: they've now lost three in a row.
Khalid Bourne put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Antonyo Major-jackson, who scored 5 points along with 4 steals.
East Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Fort Myers, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
East Lee County was able to grind out a solid win over North Fort Myers in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 59-51. Will East Lee County repeat their success, or does North Fort Myers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
