The Danville Ironmen will head out to face off against the Lewisburg Green Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Danville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Danville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mount Carmel, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Ironmen never let the RED TORNADOES get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Ironmen, who have now won nine games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Cole Duffy made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Danville got a big performance out of Wyatt Shultz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Shultz has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Eli Welliver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Danville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lewisburg can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Milton with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Green Dragons not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th (when they won 16-5).
Like Danville, Lewisburg also got a great game from a two-way player: Cohen Hoover. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Hoover has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Lewisburg: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Garret Glathar was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Colin Shannon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Danville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lewisburg, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-9-1.
Danville took their victory against Lewisburg in their previous matchup on April 11th by a conclusive 11-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ironmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
