Smithville came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Chippewa Chipps to the tune of 80-48. The Smithies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Smithville is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Chippewa, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Smithville will be taking part in a tournament against Genoa Area at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chippewa, they will face off against Rittman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
