Meanwhile, Midland Christian scored the most points they've had all season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to Cornerstone Christian at home by a 42-24 margin. That makes it the first time this season the Mustangs have let down their home crowd.
Although Midland Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Jackson Griffin, Case Cole, and Cole. Another passer making a difference was Avery Morgan, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Midland Christian's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Isaiah Mathews with two. He also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 13.
