Edmund Burke Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Briarwood Academy. They were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Leila Eastmead continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 27 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Woods, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 18 points and four steals.
Edmund Burke Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 28 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Edmund Burke Academy's record is now 23-3. As for Briarwood Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
