Mbakwe wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Coppell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sachse only rushed for 38.
Coppell's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Tyree Roberson.
When it comes to explaining why Sachse lost, don't look at Kaliq Lockett. Despite the final result, he picked up 146 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Coppell will square off against Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coppell is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Sachse, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lamar at 7:00 p.m.
