The Bayside Marlins can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past Ocean Lakes 50-24. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-3.
Jessie Ware continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven steals. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Tyler Marie Henry was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Ocean Lakes saw an underclassman step up: Samara Williams dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.
Bayside now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Ocean Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayside will square off against Tallwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tallwood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ocean Lakes, they will head out on the road to challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
