Basketball Recap: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Riley Jacobs did his part to make it seven on Saturday. Everything went the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints' way against the Catholic Crusaders as the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints made off with a 78-54 win thanks in part to Jacobs, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 21 or more in the last four games he's played.

Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Lee also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Christopher Bullock was another key player, putting up nine points.

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Catholic, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will challenge Maret on Saturday. As for Catholic, they will take on Norview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Norview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Catholic likes a good challenge.
