After flying high against Covenant Christian last Monday, the Bozeman Bucks came back down to earth. Bozeman took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin County on Friday. Bozeman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Mahala Griggs was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Franklin County. Thamia Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bozeman bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.2 points per game. As for Franklin County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Bozeman and Mosley will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. As for Franklin County, they will play host again and welcome North Bay Haven Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
