The Straughn Tigers won the last time they faced the Florala Wildcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Straughn walked away with a 44-36 victory over Florala.
Straughn can attribute much of their success to Ora Hall, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hall has scored at least 25% of Straughn's points. Another player making a difference was Allyx Williamson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Florala's loss came despite strong showings from Kyndra Anthony and Abbi Boldin. Anthony scored 19 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds, while Boldin dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Straughn's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Florala, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Straughn will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Ariton at 5:30 p.m. on November 30th. As for Florala, they will be playing at home against Geneva at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Geneva focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
