The Riverside Christian Wranglers suffered their biggest defeat since January 5th on Friday. They were dealt a 57-21 loss at the hands of Branford. Riverside Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.
Branford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amyah James led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keara Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Riverside Christian are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21. As for Branford, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Christian will face off against First Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Branford, they will head out on the road to take on Countryside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
