Kyle Bambard of Walled Lake Western ran for the longest rushing play in Kensington Lakes - North this season against Kettering last week. Bambard ran for 63 yards on the play and finished with 153 on the day as his team bested the Captains.
Walled Lake Northern moved up to 53 from 156 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Knights climbed the ranks as a result of a 49-7 win over Walled Lake Central.
Walled Lake Western's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bambard threw for 51 yards and Jake Neracher had 51 yards receiving.
Walled Lake Western's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bambard has thrown for 592 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Neracher has 21 catches for 312 yards. Bambard also leads the league in rushing with 483 yards.
Lakeland was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Kensington Lakes - North. The Eagles vanquished Mott 41-20 earlier in the week.
