The matchup between Jayton and Hamlin on Tuesday hardly resembled the 51-12 effort from their previous meeting. The Jayton Jaybirds blew past the Hamlin Pied Pipers 84-42. The Jaybirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Several Pied Pipers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Gruben, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Zane Leonard, who put up ten points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Jayton, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.8 points. As for Hamlin, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jayton will square off against Reagan County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jayton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. Hamlin has already played their next contest (against Aspermont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
